"The mission of the Manteno Community Fire Protection District is to provide the highest professional emergency services for the preservation of life and property. The patient's care, along with interest and minimizing the loss from fire is always the first priority for this fire protection
district.

We are continuously training to provide the highest patient care, fire prevention and suppression for all who we may serve. This shows our commitment to the advancement of our members while continuing our history of providing quality service to our district."


The Federal Government has asked us all to be prepared for an emergency. The government would like us all to:

2. Be prepared
3. Be Informed

The Manteno Fire District is accepting applications for "Paid On Call" members. However, members must live in the village limits to be eligible. Please call the dept. for more information.

Manteno Community Fire Protection District proudly protects 10,000 people living in an area of 96 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. We have an ISO rating of 6 res. 9 rural. The department recently went on 24 hours shift with 4 firefighter/paramedics and a full time Chief on duty. The Village is growing at a fast rate with the potential of great industrial and residential growth.
